That's right this past week, it was reported that singer and 'Grownish' star Halle Bailey will portray Ariel in the upcoming live action 'Little Mermaid' movie. The 19 year old starlet confirmed the exciting news on social media with the caption "Dreams come true" along with a cartoon rendering of a black Ariel.
YAAAASSSS! Despite the slight uproar from racists on social media upset over the ethnicity of a fictional fish, Bailey has received tons of support online including a sweet post from legendary actress Halle BERRY, who the young ingenue shares a namesake with.
