Hello world, hello America!
As the chaos of 2020 continues to ensue, it has become more & more abundantly clear that the one thing this world needs is more heart. Thankfully, we got our much needed fill this past week with the help of one STUNNING queen!
That's right, we recently had the pleasure of chatting with recording artist, entertainer and Drag superstar Monique Heart. As you may know, Monique first captivated audiences with her appearance on the Emmy winning tenth season of RuPaul's Drag Race, and even further solidified her star power with a successful stint on the fourth season of RPDR All Stars, where she placed as runner up.
Since then this born and bred New Yorker has more than carved out a spot, that's all her own, in the world of entertainment thanks to her powerhouse vocals and infectious personality. She has even relocated to the west coast to expand her career in music and television and she has yet to disappoint!
From releasing her smash EP, Beloved SoS 6.3, to co-headlining the Nubia tour, alongside an all black line up of performers and crafting more than 20+ glamorous tributes in drag for black history month. Monique Heart exemplifies the perfect blend of art and culture; all while spreading joy to the masses as she tours the world.
With this in mind, it made perfect sense when chatting with the SUKM singer to discuss the importance of the Black Lives Matter movement, as well as the well known issue of racism that runs rampant through the Drag Race fandom and Heart did not hold back! The hour long convo covered everything from dating, to digital drag shows and the hilarious quirks of quarantine life.
