Beyonce and Jay-Z are back at it once again, you ready?
Following the highly successful run of their second joint tour 'On The Run: II," Bey and Jay hit the stage together once again for the 2018 Global Citizens Festival. The concert, held in Johannesburg in South Africa, celebrated political activist & leader Nelson Mandela who would've been 100 years old this year.
From the moment Mr. and Mrs. carter touched down in South Africa, fans could barely contain their excitement for the show. Beyhive members were especially hyped when they saw their queen dawn a darker do, a rarity for the blonde beauty--they even playfully dubbed her darkyoncé, insinuating that her hair color invokes an even more intense and palpable performance.
But before they could take the stage HOV had something he needed to say. Just hours ahead of taking the stage Jay took to social media to clear air about his much talked about feature on Meek Mill's new single 'What's Free'
On the track Jay raps:
"No red hat, don’t Michael and Prince me and Ye.
They separate you when you got Michael and Prince’s DNA.
I ain’t one of these house ni***s you bought.
My house like a resort, my house bigger than yours.
My spou—c’mon, man—my route better, of course.”
Of course by name checking his longtime friend, Kanye West--fans thought he was dissing the fellow rapper due to their recently rocky relationship but Jay-Z made it clear that was NOT the case.
And of course Ye chimed in by teasing another collaborative album
Do we think there's still a solid foundation of love between these two? Absolutely!
Do we think we'll be getting another Ye and Jay joint album soon?.... Well.....does that really matter when we have Beyoncé?!
